We bought a Citroen Jumper H2L3 and we believe this model was the perfect decision for us.
First, think of the weight you will drive around, the petrol you will be using. In Austria the weight limit for a car is 3,5 tons or else you need a different licence.
Also think of the countries you will be exploring. Do they use diesel or petrol predominantly?
Parking lots could be small and tiny if existent at all and our van is pretty big already.
Most campers have at least one element built in powered by gas. Since we have a healthy respect for gas (I wouldn't use the term fear ;) we chose to cook with an alcohol stove. It simply makes us sleep better at night.
Our goal is to live outside of the big cities as much as possible. That means, no possibility for getting rid of your waste if you use chemicals in your toilet. Mother Earth will thank us. Instead of using chemicals to reduce occurring scents we installed a system called SOG. It simply filters all the scents straight out of the van.
Because in theory, it saves a lot of energy since cool air tends to stay at the bottom whereas warm temperature rises.
