Beginning of this week we entered Croatia!
We spent 2 days in the city of Rovinj. Absolutely gorgeous!
The photos will speak for themselves ;)
On the shores of the Istrian peninsula, surrounded by the warm Mediterranean Sea, the narrowest of streets you can imagine…that’s Rovinj. Again, we found a perfect parking spot by a restaurant where we didn’t pay a single Cent, 10 metres from the sea!
We will write a story on how easy or hard it is in Southern Europe to camp without staying on a camping site in the near future!
The day we left Rovinj, we spontaneously changed our planned route. Initially we were wanting to drive along the coast but changed our mind and took the direction inland towards the Plitvice lakes.
We stopped by a long forgotten castle, which Sara fell in love with ;)
On route we went past the small town of Pazin in the heart of Istria. And we were wondering why on earth we have never heard of this amazing place before. A little paradise for adventurers! We decided to spend 4 whole days there.
On the second day we took a trip to the caves of Pazin. A 2 and a half hours tour through a beautiful moist, green and rocky valley. It reminded me a little bit of New Zealand. Past that you enter the cave via a 20m zipline. Amazing underworld feeling with really competent staff! Thanks Sasha:)
You can also fly through the valley between the castle and the mountains on higher and longer ziplines. We instead went for quick bath in the river the next day and just chilled and worked on the blog and Sara did some sewing for the next couple days.
The day we left Pazin, just 5km outside of town, we stopped at a hidden gorge with a waterfall…WOW! If we would have known earlier we would have spent a few days there also.
