A very first „we could imagine to live here“

The last few days were again, full of impressions.

I gotta say, we almost saw too much in a too short amount of time. It is hard to soak everything in to a full extent.

GENOVA

The road from Genova to Piacenza was absolutely gorgeous.

Especially the part between Ottone and Bobbio. Beautiful landscapes, rivers, small villages…this was the first time including the region just before Genova, where we said we could imagine to live here. It will be funny to find out how many times we’ll say that on the road.

LAKE GARDA

Our next stop brought us to Lake Garda, to be precise the town of Desenzano.

A cute town on the shores of lake Garda. We fell in love with this town. Yes, Lake Garda always has its touristy times between June and August but still, its a stunner everytime.

We found a free parking in the middle of town, stayed there for the night and got out of bed early in the morning. I think we saw 3 other people ;)

VERONA

Sara was here about 9 years ago with her school and she remembered that she loved this place. So we made another stop in Verona.

I ist say, apart from an absolute traffic chaos, Verona is a definite must. This city is an architectural wonder.

CHIOGGIA

The very same day in the evening we arrived in Chioggia on the way to Venice. Again, we found a perfect parking spot right by the sea.

We can’t say much about Chioggia to be honest, we just stayed by the port for a night and enjoyed a stunning sundowner. The road to the port was quite spectacular but the town itself didn’t make the sexiest of impressions.

I assume we are the first and only Italy travellers that can say we didn’t do Venice. We have both been there when we were young. And no, I said no. Not this time of the year, not in this heat, no. I just wanted to get out that place. So we drove past Venice and crossed the border of Slovenia where we met my parents. The came to visit us there for the last 2 days.
